Westerra’s leadership team operates on the leading edge of change within the retail financial services industry.  Collectively, they provide the expertise necessary to deliver quality financial products in an environment of safety and soundness.  The Westerra executive team includes:  

C. Alan Peppers, President and CEO
Alan Peppers joined Westerra Credit Union in 1992 and currently serves as Chief Executive Officer.   He brings over 30 years of credit union experience to his role as President/CEO of Westerra Credit Union.  Mr. Peppers is a progressive thinker and is well respected within the credit union industry - having a reputation for facilitating positive change at the local, state and national levels.  At Westerra, Mr. Peppers has focused on achieving excellent financial performance, providing outstanding service quality and increasing product usage by the membership.  Following his management strategy of "Whatever you do...do it for the members!" the credit union's assets have grown from $165 million in 1992 to over $1 billion today.  Currently, Mr. Peppers serves as Chairman of the Board of Directors of the CUNA Mutual Group, a multi-billion dollar financial services and insurance provider serving credit unions. He has a Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration. 

Duane Bruno, Chief Operations Officer
Duane Bruno joined Westerra Credit Union in 2001 and currently serves as Chief Operations Officer.  Mr Bruno is responsible for overseeing all operations, including member services, branches, contact center, training, human resources, financial planning products and services, and marketing and public relations.  With 25 years of credit union experience, Mr. Bruno brings significant credit union insight to his role at Westerra.  During his career, he has actively served on numerous state and national boards and committees for various Credit Union System organizations. He is a Certified Public Accountant and a licensed insurance and investment advisor.  He has a Bachelor’s degree in Accounting and a Master’s degree in Business Administration with an emphasis in Finance.

Betsy Guerrero, Chief Financial Officer
Betsy Guerrero joined Westerra Credit Union in 1992 and currently serves as Chief Financial Officer.  She is responsible for the areas of accounting, finance, strategic planning, administration and compliance, which include oversight of the credit union’s investment portfolio, asset liability management and budgeting process.  Through Ms. Guerrero’s ability to efficiently manage projects she has spearheaded the expansion of many Westerra products, services, and delivery channels.  She is a Certified Public Accountant and a member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants, Colorado Society of Certified Public Accountants, and the Credit Union National Association (CUNA) CFO Council.  She has a Bachelor’s degree in Accounting.

John McCloy, Chief Lending and Administrative Officer
John McCloy joined Westerra Credit Union in 2003 and currently serves as Chief Lending and Administrative Officer.  He utilizes his over 25 years of lending and financial services expertise to direct Westerra’s lending operations in the areas of commercial loans, consumer loans, mortgage loans and collections. He also oversees the Westerra’s information technology and facilities group. Mr. McCloy’s scope of experience includes extensive management of originations, servicing and collections/asset recovery in all geographic regions.  His management experience also includes creation and management of loan servicing/collection call centers, remote site management and centralized management.  His operations experience is augmented by extensive interaction with CEOs and Boards of Directors regarding corporate and operating strategies.  He has a Bachelor’s degree in Communications and a Master’s degree in Business Administration.
