Jeffco Public Schools Grant Recipients

The Westerra Credit Union School Grant Program strives to enhance students’ learning experiences by providing for items such as art supplies, sports fees and equipment, after school programs, workbooks or other programs your school determines most beneficial. For the 2014-2015 school year, Westerra awarded grants to 36 Jeffco schools for a total of $23,325.  These schools received grants of approximately $400-$700 each: 

Addenbrooke Classical Academy - Brain Gym for students
Alameda International High School - Medical supplies for athletes
Arvada West Senior High School - Go! Links for science courses
Belmar Elementary -  PA system
Colorow Elementary - Behavioral motivation support rewards
Conifer High School - New equipment for the darkroom
Drake Middle School - Student incentives and parent education
Elk Creek Elementary - Orton-Gillingham Method training for dyslexic children
Excel Academy - Financial literacy material
Fairmont Elementary - Positive behavior incentives
Foster Elementary - Tone chimes for the music program
Jeffco's 21st Century Virtual Academy - Community activities for online students
Jefferson High School - Classroom resources for family and consumer science classes
Ken Caryl Middle School - After school enrichment clubs activities
Kyffin Elementary - Art/bookmaking program for 3rd graders
Lakewood High School - ebooks and audio books for students
Lasley Elementary - Student materials and teachers guides for 3rd grade
Lincoln Academy Charter School - Reading materials for vocabulary and written response
Little Elementary - After school program materials
McClain High School - Student workbooks as resource material to support classroom learning
Mitchell Elementary - Arts/crafts supplies, books for ESL classes
Montessori Peaks Academy - Audiometer and first aid supplies for clinic
Oberon Middle School - Music stands and chairs
Parr Elementary - Science lab equipment
Pennington Elementary - Enrichment classes/opportunities
Pomona High School - Two projectors for math department
Rocky Mountain Deaf School - Academic Bowl team resources
Sobesky Academy Middle School - School activities for students with emotional disabilities
Standley Lake High School - Unity Club bus fee and student presentation supplies
Stott Elementary - Update the "Steps to Respect" program
Two Roads Charter School - New sports program league fees and uniforms
Wayne Carle Middle School - Chrome Book for math intervention class
West Jefferson Middle School - Social studies classroom materials and resources

Wheat Ridge High School - New on-field practice football equipment
Woodrow Wilson Academy - Recovery couch and supplies for health clinic
