Denver, CO — December 31, 2021 - Now through January 31, 2022, Westerra Credit Union will match donations up to $50,000 to benefit the Community Foundation Boulder County Wildfire Relief Fund.

Members and non-members who would like to contribute to the Westerra Boulder County Fire Relief Fund may contribute online by going to our Member Assistance Resource Center, by visiting a Westerra branch or calling our Contact Center at 303-321-4209.

The Community Foundation Boulder County Wildfire Fund is distributing $5 million in financial assistance to those whose homes have been destroyed or damaged. An additional $500,000 is being distributed to support the needs of evacuees from this fund. In addition, the Community Foundation Boulder County is working with government and nonprofit partners to disperse the remaining funds to support those impacted.

“Giving back to the community is in our DNA, and this tragedy has all of us at Westerra wanting to help in a big way with this $50,000 match,” said Jay Champion, Westerra Credit Union CEO. “In addition to helping the wildfire victims in Boulder County, we want to be sure to support our own members who might have specific needs stemming from the fire. We are here to help through our new Member Resource Center.”

Members who have been impacted by the Colorado wildfires are encouraged to visit Westerra’s Member Resource Center to explore financial options while experiencing hardship as a result of the fires.
