Westerra Pulls Plane for Special Olympics

A giant tug-of-war between teams of 25 people and a 164,000 pound jet took place August 12 at Denver Interational Airport. The annual Plane Pull raised more than $140,000 for Special Olympics Colorado to provide year-round training and athletic competition for thousands of athletes with intellectual disabilities throughout Colorado.

Teams of 25 people challenged each other to pull a jumbo jet 12 feet across the tarmac in the least amount of time!  The Westerra Credit Union team beat their own time from 2016 by pulling the plane in 7.926 seconds compared to 7.938 last year!

Thank you to all participants, law enforcement, sponsors, families and donors who helped make this event a success! Watch for more information coming soon about the 2018 Polar Plunge presented by Westerra Credit Union.  2017 Plane Pull Photos
