Over 100 requests were submitted for the 2011/2012 school year grant cycle for extremely valuable and worthwhile causes.  We are honored to support our schools in helping students work toward achieving academic and personal success.  The following schools received grants from Westerra Credit Union:

Abraham Lincoln High School -  Paper and printer cartridges for math students
Carson Elementary -  Supplies for Enrichment classes (science, art, dance, music, theater)
Columbine Elementary -  Second Step program to teach social and emotional skills
Denver West High School - Paint and other maintenance supplies for baseball field
East High School - Studio rental for music classes; CD production
Fairmont Dual Immersion Academy - Athletic fees and cost of student physicals 
George Washington High School - Books for book clubs in Creative Writing class
Grant Ranch ECE-8 School - Positive behavior posters and prizes
Hallett Fundamental Academy - “Why Try” student journals to help foster interpersonal skills
Jessie Whaley Maxwell Elementary - Incentives for reading program

Martin Luther King Jr. Early College - Baseball bats, hats and jerseys with school logo
Noel Middle School, Noel Arts School, Kipp Charter School - Exercise balls for Aerobic Ball Exercise Program

Place Bridge Academy - Digital cameras for photography/yearbook elective
