Westerra Credit Union Celebrates Grand Opening of Quincy Place Banking Center

The modern space facilitates more self-serve, digital-based transactions.

Aurora, CO – June 28, 2023 – Westerra Credit Union proudly announces the grand opening of its spectacular new Quincy Place Banking Center. Nestled within the heart of the Aurora community, this state-of-the-art facility warmly welcomes members with a commitment to providing exceptional financial services.

Quincy Place Banking Center is located at the intersection of East Quincy Avenue and South Buckley Road (4231 South Buckley Road). Upon entering, members will experience a significant difference compared to traditional bank lobbies. With a sleek, modern design, welcoming atmosphere, three impressive art installations and zero teller lines, every aspect of this new location complements our digital world.

“Quincy Place has been designed to facilitate meaningful conversations about members’ financial goals by enhancing our self-serve, digital-based transactions,” said Wade Paschall, Westerra’s Chief Marketing Officer. “We’ve struck a nice balance with this new location. It complements our digital world while providing members with personalized experiences to help them prosper.”

Also notable, the nearby Centennial branch on Smoky Hill Road has closed as the new Quincy Place location allows Westerra to serve a greater portion of the Aurora market. However, the valuable and dedicated Smoky Hill staff didn’t go far! They all migrated to Quincy Place to continue being familiar and friendly faces for Westerra members.

“We received such a warm welcome from the Aurora community,” said Kristina Shaw, Vice-President of Communications & PR for Westerra, “Over 500 people attending our Grand Opening event on June 21st. The day-long event included tours of Quincy Place, swag and giveaways, plus free beer from Jade Mountain Brewery and food from Filipino Belly food truck. We are grateful for the participation of these local businesses and for the DJs from KOOL105 who stopped by to spin some tunes!”

Other highlights of the Quincy Place Banking Center include:

  • A financial library with bookcases and seating areas

  • Not only is this a nod to Westerra’s founding in 1934 by eight schoolteachers, but the space facilitates financial education conversations and future financial literacy programs

  • State-of-the-art Interactive Virtual Tellers (IVTs) will be debuted later this year.

  • IVTs look like ATM machines but can complete 95% of the credit union transactions

  • Two conference rooms to ensure privacy for member transactions.

  • Staff who can provide personalized member service and problem-solving
