Westerra Credit Union Named on Newsweek’s 2024 America's Best Regional Banks and Credit Unions List

Westerra has been selected for Newsweek's "Best Regional Credit Unions" annual list! This list honors financial institutions that support members, support local initiatives and rank high on several criteria points.

Denver, CO – Feb 2, 2024 - Westerra Credit Union has been named one of the “Best Regional Credit Unions” in Newsweek’s annual list that applauds regional banks and credit unions for “playing a pivotal role in the financial fabric of communities” through deep roots, ability to understand the unique needs of the people they serve, and active contributions to local initiatives.

Westerra is one of only five Colorado-based financial institutions selected for this prestigious list and was ranked in the top 4 of those selected for the honor. The “2024 America's Best Regional Banks and Credit Unions List” was created through a study conducted in partnership with Plant-A Insights Group and Newsweek, which analyzed 9,440 institutions regional banks and credit unions in the United States in terms of profitability, financial relevance, risk exposures to financial uncertainties, and overall health and stability. Results from a large-scale, independent customer survey of 35,000 U.S. citizens were also taken into consideration.
