My passion is social justice. I worked at Gilpin Extended Day Center at Gilpin Elementary School in downtown Denver for 18 years teaching Yoga to kids. I continue to advocate for those who have been left behind by society.
I bought my house in the Whittier neighborhood in 1977. Through the years that house has permitted me to continue my education, raise three kids and care for my disabled husband. I now have a master's degree and work in a homeless shelter, helping other people find their way out of poverty and achieve their dreams.
How Westerra Works for You
When I first started working for DPS in 1986, I opened a share account and a checking account with DPSCU. When I needed to remodel my house to meet my husband's mobility needs, Westerra refinanced my house. Now all of us are living happily ever after!
