Credit Union Acknowledged by Newsweek and BauerFinancial; CIO Earns Industry Leadership Award

Westerra Credit Union has been honored with the prestigious Dora Maxwell Social Responsibility Award by the Go West Credit Union Association in recognition of our Westerra Cares community engagement initiative. Westerra was selected as a state winner for Colorado in the category of credit union with more than $1B in assets and are now being considered for national placement, with those results being announced later this fall.
Westerra Cares focuses on education, financial literacy and community basics. In 2022, 198 unique Westerra staff members participated in this program, volunteering a total of 1,232 hours. It is an example of the dedication and hard work of our incredible staff as well as our members, whose membership at Westerra helps make their communities a better place. As we celebrate this remarkable achievement, we look forward to many more years of positive impact and community service ahead.
