2022-2023 Grant Recipients
Westerra began the School Grant Program over a decade ago and has proudly given more than $550,000 to more than 1,000 Denver-metro area school programs. The Westerra Credit Union School Grant Program strives to enhance students’ learning experiences by providing monetary awards for items like art supplies, sports fees and equipment, after school programs, classroom materials or other programs teachers and schools determine most beneficial.

Prairie View Middle School- Supplies for Prairie School Middle School learners to participate in student-led book clubs focusing on increasing student engagement in reading, learning and improving comprehension and critical thinking skills.

STEM Launch- Funding for 3D printer to integrated into our STEM curriculum, allowing students the opportunity to create prototypes, conduct experiments, and develop problem-solving skills, aligning with the 21st-century skills needed for future careers.

The goal is to use the grant to support student exploration of science concepts through purposeful play-based learning kits.
